Lead Cook

Responsible for providing nutritious meals to the patients, staff, and visitors using standardized recipes. Ensures all food is properly cooked and has acceptable temperatures according to Department of Health regulations. May be assigned any duty that is the responsibility of the Food and Nutrition department.

Qualifications:
EDUCATION
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
EXPERIENCE
Two years experience in a health care institution is preferred.
LICENSURE
Food safety certification required.
SPECIAL SKILLS
Must be able to read and write English. Must use standardized recipes to properly cook all foods to desired temperatures according to Department of Health guidelines. Must know how to operate all kitchen equipment and have strong organizational skills.Must also lead by example.
