Human Resources (HR) Manager

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager with a strong understanding of both traditional HR functions and the technical aspects of HR management, tailored to California’s unique employment laws and regulations. This role requires expertise in leveraging HR technologies (ADP), data analytics, and compliance tools to support organizational goals, enhance employee experience, and ensure adherence to state-specific legal requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Delivering support and guidance to our team, management, and other staff to cater to immediate needs.
  • Administering various benefits programs and addressing any related employee queries.
  • Coordinating with injured employees, medical providers, and insurance carriers to manage workers' compensation cases.
  • Overseeing disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations involving employees.
  • Ensuring the alignment of our HR processes with business objectives and providing expert advice on staffing, performance management, and employee relations.
  • Assisting with performance management activities such as coaching, feedback, and goal setting.
  • Managing the execution and maintenance of HR administration.
  • Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and reviewing policies and practices to maintain this compliance.
  • Keeping abreast of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Administering employee leave policies, including sick leave, vacation days, and family leave, and processing FMLA requests to ensure compliance with federal and state laws.
  • Undertaking any assigned short-term projects to support the HR and facilities teams, ensuring timely completion and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Proficiency in ADP - Financial Services.
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now.
  • Familiarity with ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode.
  • Competency in using Ceridian software.
  • Proficiency in Human Capital Management (HCM).
  • Ability to manage Benefit Functions.
  • Excellent Communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of Compliance procedures.
  • Experience in handling Employee Relations.
  • Knowledge of Hiring Processes.
