Business Development Representative

Goldbelt Operations Support Services, LLC (GbOSS) offers expert construction, renovation, and support services. GbOSS has expertise in construction, renovation, and support services, from design-build to finish work. GbOSS utilizes a skillset as general contractors to assist federal clients and is 8(a) certified.
Summary:
GbOSS is in search of a Business Development Representative. The Business Development Representative will be working with the executive leadership team to pursue new viable business opportunities within the federal government construction contracting practice.
Responsibilities:
Essential Job Functions:
- Identifying and pursuing new viable business opportunities within the federal government construction contracting space.
- Analyzing market trends and identifying potential areas for growth.
- Leading and developing strategies to win new contracts with federal agencies.
- Develop and execute strategic and tactical plans for the pursuit and successful capture of key opportunities.
- Possessing a deep understanding of the federal procurement process and using this knowledge to identify potential opportunities.
- Leading the capture process from start to finish, including understanding the customer's needs and assisting with the development of a proposal or solution that addresses those needs.
- Working with the proposal team to provide insight and key data to assist in developing a winning bid.
- Maintaining and managing relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials and prime/sub-contractors.
- Maintaining an in-depth understanding of federal regulations and laws and staying up to date with changes and updates to the procurement process.
- Building and maintaining a strong network of industry and government contacts.
- Developing and implementing strategies for revenue growth and expanding the company's customer base.
- Attend conferences and professional association meetings to promote Goldbelt Construction companies
Qualifications:
Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
- Ability to establish a strong /win strategy/ and capture plan for targeted opportunities.
- Must be familiar and knowledgeable about construction industry standard bid and proposal processes
- Demonstrated track record of winning significant federal contracts

- Business Acumen - knowledgeable about current and future issues that could affect the organization.
- Directing Others - planning, organizing, and distributing workload appropriately and communicating clearly upward and laterally throughout the organization.
- Negotiating - able to win concessions without jeopardizing relationships and understand the relative value and importance of terms and conditions while adhering to the overall objective of the relationship and transaction.
- Process Management - ability to simplify complex processes and methodically organize people, resources, and activities.
- Proven experience in federal capture management and a track record of successfully capturing federal contracts.
- Demonstrated success in leading and winning contracts.
- Ability to identify, establish and use important customer relationships with senior level officials and program stakeholders within government agencies.
- Possessing a strong network of industry and government contacts.
- Ability to develop, document, and execute a plan for achieving awards/growth.
- Knowledge of Government contracting and current acquisition trends and customer buying behaviors.
- Knowledge of competitors and ability to model competitor behaviors in the market.
- Excellent writing, communication skills with experience presenting to senior executives and customers.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum five (5) or more years of related experience.
- Experience leading the identification, qualification, pursuit, proposal development and capture of opportunities.
- Functional experience in a variety of relevant positions including Business Development, Strategic Planning, Program Management, Sales, and/or Marketing.
- Must be able to travel as needed (up to 50% of the time).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Have a comprehensive understanding of Construction Operations.
- Have the ability to use their technical and relational experience to develop new portfolios.
- Have the ability to support and manage technology in the development of new opportunities.
Pay and Benefits:
The salary range for this position is $95,000 to $125,000 annually.
