We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Systems Administrator in CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa, 52401-2550, United States. As a Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining servers, load-balancers, and NetApps across various locations.

Your role will also involve the development of new designs, architectures, and standards for large-scale distributed systems. You will also engage in service capacity planning, demand forecasting, software performance analysis, and system tuning.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the maintenance of servers, load-balancers, and NetApps across a diverse range of locations
  • Develop and implement new designs, architectures, standards, and methods for large-scale distributed systems
  • Participate in service capacity planning, demand forecasting, and software performance analysis
  • Conduct system tuning to ensure optimal performance
  • Use skills in Microsoft Windows Server, Virtualization, Cloud Computing, Active Directory, and System Administration to effectively fulfill job functions
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure the smooth running of all systems
  • Respond promptly to system issues and resolve them in an efficient manner
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices
  • Provide technical support and guidance to other team members as needed
  • Ensure all systems are compliant with security standards and policies. • Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a Systems Administrator role or similar.
  • Proficiency in managing and maintaining Microsoft Windows Server environments is essential.
  • Familiarity with Virtualization technologies is required.
  • Experience with Cloud Computing platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure is a must.
  • Must have in-depth knowledge and experience with Active Directory setup, configuration, and maintenance.
  • Demonstrable skills in System Administration, including monitoring system performance, ensuring system security, and troubleshooting system issues.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure are needed.
  • Good communication skills to interact with team members and explain technical information clearly.
  • Must hold relevant certifications in System Administration or related field.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to keep up with the latest trends and technologies in System Administration.
