Accounting Clerk

Robert Half is working with a Beverly Hills based financial institution to help them find an accounting clerk. This candidate would be required to work on-site in Beverly Hills and would be responsible for assisting with accounting and customer service operations on a daily basis.

This position is contract with the potential for a full time offer based on performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately processing and maintaining customer credit applications and records
  • Handling general ledger operations and ensuring the accuracy of financial data through detailed reconciliations
  • Managing accounts payable functions such as invoice processing and vendor payments
  • Assisting with the preparation of audits by scanning, uploading, and organizing relevant documents
  • Serving as a point of contact for walk-in customers, helping them with account inquiries and resolving any account-related issues
  • Undertaking data entry tasks to ensure the accuracy of our customer database
  • Expanding beyond core accounting duties to take on additional tasks and projects as required.
  • Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in an accounting role
  • Proficiency in using General Ledger systems
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to identify discrepancies in financial data
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and work under pressure
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.
