Overview:
Our Maintenance Technicians are responsible for coordinating repairs, adjustments, or maintenance of industrial production and processing machinery. This position performs more complex troubleshooting and repairs and ensures safe, clean, and efficient operations.
Desirable shift schedules! 12-hour workdays on 3rd shift (7 pm – 7 am). We work 3 day per week rotation.
Responsibilities:
- Supports a safe work environment by following safety policies and procedures.
- Supports a quality work environment by following appropriate policies and procedures.
- Completes process checks on specified quality forms and records.
- Assures all assigned equipment safety guarding is in place and all areas of the machine are clean, neat, and organized.
- Documents required repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Monitors Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) to ensure set standards are achieved or exceeded.
- Observes gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure equipment is working properly.
- Inspects equipment, products, materials, or packaging to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
- Repairs, cleans, lubricates, or adjusts machinery to optimally maintain the equipment.
- Disassembles, repairs, or replaces malfunctioning/broken machinery or equipment components.
- Reassembles equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repair.
- Examines parts for defects, such as excessive wear or breakage.
- Performs changeovers and set-ups to equipment as required.
- Places or pours WIP components or materials into containers or fills hoppers/feeder bowls from designated Gaylords.
- Has a body of knowledge to work on different manufacturing equipment/processes due to a broader scope of knowledge of production equipment and does so with advanced troubleshooting skills.
- Coaches more junior technicians on diagnosing and repairing equipment.
- Manages projects assigned from supervision.
- Cleans work areas using basic cleaning materials.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their design, use, repair, and maintenance
- Ability to operate newly repaired machinery or equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs.
- Ability to analyze failures, machine error messages, or information obtained from operators.
- Ability to determine causes of operating errors and implement effective solutions.
- Ability to provide direction to other technicians for the resolution of escalated technical problems.
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of goods.
- Self-motivated and capable of identifying and completing tasks with minimal direction.
- Ability to quickly move hands, hands together with arms, or two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
- Ability to focus on a single source of sound in the presence of other distracting sounds.
- Ability to communicate in verbal and written English.
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required, associate degree in technical field preferred
- Minimum of Three (3) years related experience and/or technical training
- Training in maintenance/repair of mechanical equipment and machinery desired
- Training in industrial electrical repair and maintenance desired

Salary Range: $30 - $35 per hour
