Sr. Data Analyst Location: Warren, NJ - Onsite Duration: 12 months Position type: W2 contract Visa: Any visa independent consultant. Mandatory skills: SQL, Python, R, SQL databases,ETL, Tableau, Power BI and various analytics platforms,Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance Job Overview: Client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Analyst to join our analytics team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SQL, Python, R, and various analytics platforms, with specific experience in the Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance domain. The role involves working with large datasets to provide insights and support decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain SQL databases, including data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes. Implement robust data analysis models and algorithms using Python and R. Generate actionable insights from complex datasets to support P&C insurance operations.
Design and create data reports and visualizations for stakeholders using analytics software. Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver solutions. Ensure data integrity and accuracy in all analytics endeavors.
Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets. Collaborate with IT and data management teams to expand and enhance data collection and analytics capabilities. Provide technical expertise and recommendations in assessing new data-related software and initiatives to support and enhance our existing systems.
Document analytics processes, procedures, and results effectively to facilitate knowledge sharing. Qualifications: A minimum of 3 years of experience in data analysis, with a focus on the P&C insurance industry. Proficiency in SQL and experience with complex query development.
Strong programming skills in Python and R. Experience with analytics and visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI Knowledge of P&C insurance principles, trends, and key metrics. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines. Preferred Skills: Advanced degree in a related field. Professional certifications related to data analytics or P&C insurance.
