Staff Accountant

We are in search of a Staff Accountant to join our team based in Argyle, Texas. The Staff Accountant will be central to our financial operations, including the processing of accounts payable, the preparation of monthly tenant invoices, the provision of detailed financial analysis, and the support of treasury, tax, and billing functions.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth financial analysis, comparing results to forecasts and previous month's results/trends.
• Oversee the preparation of monthly tenant invoices, responding to tenant queries as required.
• Manage the processing of accounts payable for multiple entities, working closely with operations and accounting teams to gain necessary approvals.
• Support the month-end close process, ensuring all journal entries, account reconciliations, and close processes are completed in a timely manner.
• Assist in the preparation of work papers and supporting schedules for annual audits.
• Contribute to forecasting and budgeting processes, as well as tax filings and other financial data requests.
• Uphold internal controls, ensuring compliance and accuracy in all financial operations.
• Support treasury, tax, AP, billing, and collections functions as required, undertaking additional duties as assigned.
• Collaborate with the Accounting Manager and Controller on the documentation and improvement of accounting processes and policies.
• Undertake special projects as required, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Staff Accountant or a similar role.
• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Demonstrated experience with Bank Reconciliations.
• Familiarity with General Ledger management.
• Proven ability to handle Journal Entries.
• Experience with Month End Close procedures.
• Knowledge of QuickBooks software for financial management.
