The Corporate Director of Ambulatory Wound Care Operations & Physician Relations is responsible for overseeing wound care and hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBO) management across our healthcare organization, with a focus on the ambulatory sector.

This role will work closely with clinical teams, quality improvement initiatives, and leadership to develop and implement best practices in wound care and physician engagement. The Director will also lead business development efforts for the ambulatory wound care business and build strong relationships with physicians to drive growth, improve care, and optimize revenue management.

Responsibilities:

Operations Management:
  • Develop and implement standardized wound care protocols and guidelines based on current evidence-based practices and industry standards.
  • Conduct regular wound care audits and assessments to evaluate compliance with established protocols and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with purchasing and supply chain management to ensure the availability of necessary wound care products and supplies, providing cost-benefit analysis.
  • Monitor clinical performance metrics and develop improvement plans to optimize patient care and operational efficiency.

Revenue Management & Financial Performance:

  • Oversee revenue management for the ambulatory wound care service line, optimizing reimbursement through accurate coding, billing, and compliance.
  • Analyze financial data to identify areas for cost savings and revenue enhancement.
  • Develop and monitor budgets, financial projections, and business plans for ambulatory wound care operations.
  • Establish performance benchmarks and drive accountability for meeting financial targets.

Quality Improvement & Staff Education:

  • Serve as a resource for staff education, protocol development, and performance improvement related to wound care outcomes.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to identify educational needs and develop training programs to enhance wound care competency.
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives to drive standardization and measure outcomes.

Strategic Leadership & Reporting:

  • Provide strategic direction and support for wound care and HBO services across the organization, aligning with overall business goals.

Qualifications:

Experience: Prior involvement calling on physicians and referring facilities is desired. Healthcare experience in marketing desired. Prior experience in wound care and/or hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
