Overview:

Responsible for supervising the office staff in administrative tasks such as completion of the certifications and renewals in accordance with HUD and Safe Harbor guidelines. Also responsible for ensuring positive resident relations. In addition, will assist the Property Manager (PM) in developing and implementing effective business plans and strategies to achieve operational goals.

Responsibilities:

The individual must be able to perform the following tasks:

  • Supervise Assistant Property Managers responsible for processing all certifications and renewals on HUD, PHA and Safe Harbor programs.
  • Provide regular training and education on regulatory guidelines with both HUD Section 8 and Safe Harbor programs.
  • Conduct internal audits of all files to ensure accurate and timely certifications and renewals.
  • Monitor and approve unreported income cases as they arise.
  • Coordinate and conduct annual inspections of units ensuring compliance with HUD's Section 8 program.
  • Maintain EIV documents per program guidelines.
  • Monitor and approve all terminations of Section 8 assistance.
  • Review all reports and correct discrepancies associated with TRACS, HAP and PHA.
  • Process special claims.
  • Review the HAP Voucher Checklist monthly and process the voucher.
  • Submit internal and external audit documentation, including MOR responses.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education, training or experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in the management of residential or commercial projects.
  • Proficient in standard information technology tools, including Office products.
  • Demonstrate supervisory potential.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license in the state of residence.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Must be able to read and comprehend the English language.
