Gardena - Logistics Accounts Payable Clerk

We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Logistics Accounts Payable Clerk based in Gardena, California. This role is within the logistics industry and is based in a workplace environment. The key function of this role is to assist with the transition to a new accounts payable system by clearing outstanding invoices and payments.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the transition to a new accounts payable system
• Handle a substantial volume of outstanding invoices, booking expenses, and ensuring records are comprehensive
• Clear a backlog of accounts payable files efficiently
• Collaborate with the AP team by sending approved invoices for payment processing
• Ensure vendor payments are updated and files are accurately closed
• Focus on accruals and outstanding payments
• Use specialized systems for data management, with minimal use of Excel
• Handle logistics-specific terms, such as "chassis fees" and BOLs (Bills of Lading)
• Maintain high level of organization and the ability to manage a large volume of data. • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, ensuring accurate financial records.
• Experience in Accounts Payable (AP), facilitating prompt and accurate payment processing.
• Familiarity with Check Runs, enabling efficient disbursement of payments.
• Capability in Coding Invoices, essential for appropriate categorization and tracking.
• Strong Data Entry skills, ensuring accurate and efficient input of information.
• Proficiency in Invoice Processing, key for maintaining timely and accurate payments.
• Expertise in Microsoft Excel, necessary for data handling and financial analysis.
• Experience with Oracle, for efficient database management and operations.
• Familiarity with QuickBooks, contributing to seamless accounting operations.
• Knowledge of SAP, aiding in advanced business operations and reporting.
