Palo Alto based organization seeks an accomplished, motivated, and energetic Staff Accountant to join our growing team. This is a hybrid role which involves both in-person and remote work, with NO REMOTE ONLY option. Our ideal candidate presently resides in the Palo Alto area or is able to relocate.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee our financial processes, including end-to-end accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
2. Prepare accurate, timely financial statements.
3. Manage accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end closes.
4. Evaluate financial operations to recommend best-practices, identify issues and strategize solutions, and help organizations run efficiently.
5. Develop budgets and financial plans for the company based on research and data reports.

Key Skills, Experience, and Education:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
2. A minimum of three years of experience in a similar role.
3. Solid knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, laws and regulations.
4. Experience with data analysis and the production of financial reports.
5. Experience with accounting software like QuickBooks, Excel, etc.
6. Exceptional attention to detail, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
