Accountant - Entry Level

We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Entry Level Accountant in Lansing, Michigan. As an Accountant, you will play a vital role in managing financial activities, from handling accounts payable and receivable to conducting bank reconciliations.

Responsibilities:

• Handle the processing and management of accounts payable and receivable
• Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records
• Prepare and review expense reports for accuracy and completeness
• Generate and manage invoices, ensuring they are accurate and paid on time
• Carry out scanning activities to digitize physical financial documents
• Utilize skills in 'Accounts Payable (AP)', 'Accounts Receivable (AR)', 'Bank Reconciliations' to effectively perform tasks.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Understanding of general accounting principles and financial regulations
• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processing
• Experience with bank reconciliations
• Familiarity with standard accounting software
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work
• Solid organizational and multitasking abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of the insurance industry, specifically casualty, is a plus.
