Position Summary:
Rocket Pharmaceuticals is offering a paid 10-week summer internship for university students interested in gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced biotechnology environment. This internship provides an opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals dedicated to advancing curative gene therapies for patients with devastating diseases.
This intern will be a contributing member to both the FP&A team and the Rocket investor relations / corporate communications team. Intern can expect to gain experience with both business partnering and financial modeling as well as assisting with corporate communications and building an understanding of investor sentiment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparation of financial close documents
- Assist in building financial projections and budget outlooks
- Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and overviews as needed
- Assist in financial model review and assumptions of Sell Side Analysts
- Project work in Bloomberg to refine RCKT modeling and profiling
- Project to create a peer and competitor review of C>x market cap companies
Qualifications:
- Rising Junior or Senior advancing towards a degree in finance, business administration, or economics
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Knowledge of financial modeling, valuation techniques, and forecasting
- Understanding of financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- Basic knowledge of GAAP and SEC reporting is preferred but not required
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Eagerness to learn and strong interest in corporate finance, strategy, and investor relations
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality of sensitive data
