We are currently partnered up with a Medium Sized Manufacturing Company in their search to add a Quality Manager - Aerospace to the team. This position will report into the VP of Ops and will have the opportunity to oversee a small team. Job Description
The Quality Manager - Aerospace will be responsible for the following:
- Lead the preparation, execution, and follow-up for ISO 9001 re-certification audits.
- Develop and maintain ISO-compliant documentation, policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address non-conformances and implement corrective actions.
- Act as the primary point of contact for external certification bodies.
- Plan, coordinate, and manage external audits, including customer and regulatory audits.
- Ensure timely resolution of audit findings and continuous improvement of processes.
- Provide accurate and comprehensive reports to management regarding audit outcomes and action plans.
- Oversee daily operations of the quality lab, ensuring equipment calibration and adherence to testing protocols.
- Supervise lab personnel, including training, scheduling, and performance management.
- Evaluate and approve test results to ensure product quality meets or exceeds customer expectations.
- Introduce new testing methods and technology to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Drive quality improvement initiatives, including root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends and opportunities for process optimization.
- Lead projects to improve product reliability, consistency, and overall customer satisfaction.
- Mentor and train staff on quality management systems and laboratory best practices.
- Support cross-functional teams in achieving quality objectives.
- Serve as a quality advocate within the organization.

The Successful Applicant
The ideal Quality Manager - Aerospace will have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4+ years of experience in quality engineering, preferably in manufacturing.
- Proven expertise in ISO 9001 certification and external audit processes.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems (QMS) and regulatory requirements.
- Hands-on experience with laboratory management and quality testing tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proficient in quality tools such as SPC, FMEA, and root cause analysis techniques.
- Exceptional communication and leadership abilities.
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or equivalent certification is preferred.
- ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification is highly desirable.
