ABOUT THE ROLE

The primary responsibility of the Bartender (Seasonal) is to prepare, mix and serve beverages correctly to venue patrons. They are responsible for maintaining positive guest interactions at the bar in a friendly manner, facilitating customer payments, and complying with all DOH beverage regulations.

ESSENTIAL ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide exceptional customer service
  • Prepare alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages for bar and restaurant patrons
  • Select and mix ingredients, garnish, and serve beverages to customers
  • Assess customers’ needs and preferences to make recommendations
  • Present drink menus and inform customers about new beverages and specials
  • Handle transactions in POS system accurately
  • Check identification to ensure customers are the legal age to purchase alcohol
  • Take inventory to ensure the bar and tables are well-stocked.
  • Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
  • Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
  • Comply with all Department of Health food and beverage regulations
  • This is a seasonal part time role from April 2025 through November 2025
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must have at least 2 years of high volume bartending experience and some cocktail bartending experience
  • Must possess a current NYC DOH Food Protection Certificate
  • Must possess current TIPS certification
  • Must be highly organized, efficient, and detail oriented
  • Must have excellent interpersonal/relationship building skills
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be able to move, pull, carry or lift at least 50 pounds
  • Must be able to work on your feet as well as stationary for at least 12 hours during events
  • Must be willing to work long shifts, including overnight shifts
  • Fast paced movements are required to go from one part of the club to others
  • Must be able to work outdoors, in all weather conditions, able to stand for long periods of time

COMPENSATION The hourly rate for this position is $16.50
