This position is located at The Pain Mangement Clinic Womack Army Medical Center, Fort Liberty, NC.
Fort Liberty is 2 hours from the beach and 5 hours from the Appalachian Mountains with easy access to I-95 and all points north and south. Responsibilities:
As a Physician Assistant you will perform duties such as:
- Perform a variety of professional direct health care clinical duties within the field of Pain Management Clinic.
- Secure a health and medical history from the patient or family member, record findings, and make clinical evaluation for assigned patients.
- Examine patients and perform initial patient work-up and assessment of patients' care and treatment.
- Provide Pain Management care practices and procedures to stabilize chronically ill patients.
- Prescribe and treat a variety of diseases, disorders, and injuries for patients.
- Perform physical examinations, special physicals, and other related physical examinations on assigned patients.
Qualifications:
US Citizenship Required
Pain Management experience preferred but not necessary.
At least one year of experience as a certified physician assistant treating patients in a Family Practice setting.
Graduation from a physician assistant educational program, accredited by the Accreditation Review Committee on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARCPA), or its predecessors, at a college, university, or educational institution that is accredited by an accrediting body or organization recognized by the Secretary, U.S. Department of Education.
Successful completion of the National Commission of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) examination; must maintain status as a certified physician assistant, including completion of all requirements for continuing medical education (CME) and re-certification.
All Applicants must be licensed as a Physician Assistant by the recognized licensing agency of a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
