Baler Maintenance Technician, Plant Ops

A strong work ethic, proven follow through skills, and a “can-do” attitude are highly desirable.

• Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and policies. Immediately report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions
• Develop Pre-Task Plans, Permits (SIPP, Hot Work, Line Break), LOTO, and EHS reviews
• Respond promptly to calls or issues relating to recycling equipment from Dispatch and Recycling team
• Complete work orders assigned in CMMS and log hours, parts, completion notes, and follow-up work
• After completing work orders and before end of shift, ensure shop is clean and equipment/materials are returned
• Support other maintenance activities or projects as needed by business leaders and assist with the training and development of early career technicians
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under constantly changing priorities and demands with commitment to excellence regarding quality work
• Minimum three years of experience as a Baler/Compactor Maintenance Technician in an industrial/commercial environment. Degree, Trade School, Journey-Level experience preferred
• Must be proficient in electrical/hydraulic schematics (single and three-phase systems) and lift/compacting equipment repair and maintenance
• Certification or experience with heavy equipment operation, including excavators, forklifts, and other relevant machinery
• Basic proficiency in MS Office Suite, specifically Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Excellent listening skills, organizational skills, and effective communication skills
• Able to lift up to 60 lbs. and work at elevations up to 50 ft.
