Description:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists in directing the strategic planning, development, and implementation of programs.
  • Represents the organization at meetings, conferences and other events.
  • May develop and present speeches or presentations to generate or enhance awareness of program(s).
  • Provides technical support by evaluating established processes, conducting training, attending operational meetings and networking with affiliated groups.
  • Monitors progress toward achieving established objectives and deadlines.
  • Participates in planning, administering and monitoring program related budgets.
  • Conducts research, designs new initiatives, and collaborates with others to ensure program(s) remain viable.
  • May serve on, hold office in, or chair committees.
  • May write publishable articles and papers.
  • May supervise staff.
  • Oversees or assists in developing operational and statistical reports for management and regulatory agencies.
  • Ensures required records and documentation are maintained.
  • Performs related responsibilities as required.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

Staffing Management:

  • Open and manage HR requisitions (faculty, staff, chief residents).
  • Assist with faculty packets, monitor Grady credentialing process.
  • Coordinate Onboarding of new hires (orientation to Division, office space, laptops, pagers, keys, parking, Emory card, access to Emory @ Grady buildings, lab coats, etc).
  • Submit Visa sponsorship applications through ISSS (J-1 & H1-B)

Operational Duties:

  • Manage/Monitor Jeopardy schedule and In-patient Ward schedule in QGenda.
  • Supervising the Outpatient QGenda process.
  • Submit supplemental pay requests for Xduty coverage of ward blocks.
  • Oversee Career Conference Review process for GIM – (schedule reviews, pull data from CV and Career Site and create draft summaries, enter faculty ratings from Drs. Bussey-Jones and Jones onto the career site).
  • Submit requests for Emory Healthcare login access (Access Coordinator for Division).
  • Oversee division equipment (printers, copiers) work with IT, sponsor email account.
  • Division contact person for Home Health agencies.
  • Creating reports (data, trends, FTE, wRVUs).
  • Might have to respond to emails and calls outside of working hours to find clinical coverage.
  • Manage staff.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in a field related to the program(s) and five years of program related experience, OR equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.
NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs. Schedule is based on agreed upon guidelines of department. This role requires residency in the state of GA.
