Overview:

PUNTA GORDA, FL (LOCAL CANDIDATES PREFERRED) – An active and loving HNW family military family in Punta Gorda, FL, is seeking an exceptional, self-managed, and intuitive FULL-TIME NANNY to support to care for their 4-year-old son with autism.
This candidate must have a high level of care and concern for safety and have experience nannying out in the community with a child on the spectrum, and staying overnight in the families home. The primary need for this role is childcare, transportation, taking child on fun outings, staying overnight in the home for up to 2-3 nights, traveling with family 2 weeks annually.
Travel is carefully planned in advance most of the time. The role requires a total of 35 days total travel that includes with the family, but also staying behind in the home being primary caregiver for the child and caring for the home. The ideal candidate will have strong consulting abilities in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and child development, helping set and achieve developmental goals, supporting data tracking, and creating effective home systems and processes that support childcare.

Experience as an RBT or RBT certification is helpful.

This family must feel safe, secure and in a trusting relationship with their nanny.

They are looking for someone extremely flexible, dependable, professional, caring & naturally nurturing. Someone who LOVES playing with kids and doing activities, is high energy and genuinely loves to be a nanny! The candidate must be neutral in tonality and gentle in their tone, as the child can be overstimulated, and the family values a quiet peaceful home.

This kiddo is on the move, so they require someone who is not only able to keep up with him but is sincerely interested in having fun with him!

Their son is autistic and non-verbal and uses an augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) device to communicate his needs. Candidate MUST have experience caring for a child that uses an AAC, though it is very easy to learn. He is sweet, smart, very independent, and potty trained, but he can require special attention.

Ideal candidates must have experience working with children with autism and sensory disorders. They value someone who understands the safety issues of autism and can always practice vigilance.

Key responsibilities include providing consultation and support for ABA goals, fostering social exposure, engaging in age-appropriate activities, guiding nighttime potty training, and helping tackle all aspects of ABA and autism. Daily childcare duties involve school pick-up, planning and engaging in after-school activities, preparing dinner pre cooked by family chef, assisting with bedtime routines, and planning weekend activities.

House management tasks simple tasks such as rotating dishwasher, laundry, dinner clean up, playroom clean up, and candidate must value keeping home tidy.

They are seeking someone who has strong ABA consulting abilities and child development knowledge, is a self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills, is safety-focused, intuitive, and proactive, and has excellent communication and teamwork skills.

A valid driver's license and the ability to drive a company vehicle are required. The household is fully staffed with a Household Manager, Chef, and Personal Assistant. The nanny must be a team player thriving in a fast-paced environment.

The role also requires providing support up to 30-35 days of family travel per year, including planning and packing for trips, staying back with their son while the parents travel and you occasionally traveling with the family. This is a NON-NEGOTIABLE. This candidate must feel confident and comfortable with mom and dad away.

Meals are provided and a bedroom & bathroom for the overnights. This family is very accommodating.

Nanny must be on call for unexpected sick days and pick ups from school for minor illnesses such as colds, and stay in the home with the child, and caring for the child until mom & dad can reorganize the day. In the rare case of serious illnesses, this would not be expected.

TENTATIVE SCHEDULE:

Monday to Wednesday:

12pm pick up at VPK and take child to ABA Therapy at 1pm & wait for therapy to be done (during this down time nanny can take lunch break, plan activities, or have some free time)

4pm Pick child up from ABA therapy

4:25pm (ish) Arrive at park or planned activity such as splash pad

530/600 Arrive home, do bath & serve dinner

630pm Off work

Tuesdays- Same schedule but off work at 730pm (mom and dad do 1 date night per week this night but flexible on which night)

Thursday and Friday: Usually off- also open to changing these to any other 2 days off during the week, very flexible on this.

WEEKENDS ARE NON NEGOTIABLE

Saturday:

11:00 am: Arrive at the house, finish lunch, get child dressed, and pack his backpack.

12:00 pm: Leave home to take child to his social group.

1:00 pm - 4:00 pm: Drop child off at his social group (approximately 30-minute drive from home). The nanny has free time nearby during this period but on call during this

4:00 pm: Pick up from the social group.

4:30 pm: Return home, assist with bath time, and serve dinner.

5:30 pm: End of workday.

Sunday:

9:00 am - 3:15 pm: Engage in parks, activities, pool time, or library trips, trampoline park. Activities are usually planned by the mom, but proactive planning by the nanny is encouraged and welcomed!

300-315 Meet with mom to plan for the following week before the end of the workday.

**This schedule ensures a structured routine for their son and efficient management of household tasks, while also allowing flexibility for the nanny to contribute proactively and effectively.**

The salary for this position ranges from $80k-$120k per year, depending on experience. Benefits include paid sick days, holidays, vacation. This family is very proactive on 30-60-90 days reviews. The mother of this family is a great communicator and invites feedback and values her employees and inner circle family staff.

All federal holidays are paid off, family does need support when school is out on the days surrounding holidays. PTO is not available until after 90 days in the position. The position is live-out only, with an immediate start date.

Room for growth in the future with potential homeschooling options if mom decides not to do the private school route, there are also opportunities to support child at school if candidate is willing to get an RBT certification, paid for by family.

Qualifications:

BA/BS college degree | AA in related field of study

CPR/First Aid Certification (renew as needed)

Ability to make a one-year commitment unless applying for a temporary position

A passion for working with children

Two+ years childcare experience

Excellent work and personal references

U.S. driver's license (this does not apply to NYC residents)

Complete Stop the Silence Training upon Membership

Fluent in English/Bilingual a plus

Competent swimmer

Non-smoker

Willing to go through extensive Background Check

Must be Live-Scanned and registered with Trustline if CA resident

Willingness to show proof of immunizations

No-cell phone driving signed guarantee
