Job Description:
We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented and compassionate Medical Receptionist to join our team. The Medical Receptionist will play a crucial role in supporting patient services, ensuring efficient operations in the front office of our mental health practice.
Applicants who are bilingual in English and Spanish will be given priority due to the diverse patient population we serve. Candidates with a proven record in handling medical records are highly desired.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome patients and visitors by greeting them in person, answering inquiries and directing them through the registration process.
- Schedule patient appointments in an accurate and timely manner.
- Confirm appointments and inform patients of any preparation required for their appointment.
- Medical records duties including filing and records requests.
- Maintain and protect patients' rights by keeping patient information confidential, in accordance with HIPAA laws.
- Update and maintain patient medical records.
- Answer multiline telephone system, take detailed messages and direct calls to appropriate staff members.
