**Position:** Senior Project Engineer / Assistant Project Manager
**Roles & Responsibilities:**
**Summary:**
As a Senior Project Engineer / Assistant Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the successful execution of our projects. Your responsibilities will encompass various aspects of project management and engineering to ensure seamless operations and high-quality results.
**Submittal Management:**- Efficiently manage and create comprehensive submittal logs during pre-construction phase.
- Demonstrate expertise in reading plans and accurately creating submittal logs.
- Collaborate with subcontractors, vendors, and material suppliers to facilitate smooth submittal processes.
- Provide valuable assistance during pre-construction phase to prepare projects.
- Monitor and track costs related to personnel, equipment, materials, and other expenses.
- Maintain detailed logs of daily, weekly, and monthly project activities and associated costs.
- Utilize daily time cards and Foreman daily reports for accurate cost tracking.
- Verify and code invoices, ensuring precision in expense allocation.
- Skillfully select the best-value materials, equipment, and services.
- Possess a thorough understanding of procurement lead times.
- Monitor and oversee the correct type and quantity of materials required.
- Manage equipment delivery times and utilization efficiently.
- Maintain a keen awareness of the 4-week look-ahead schedule and project requirements.
- Coordinate subcontractors, service providers, and materials and equipment in alignment with the look-ahead schedule.
- Effectively manage the Request for Information (RFI) log, ensuring timely responses.
- Maintain accurate records of change orders and promptly communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Oversee the management of the issues log, addressing concerns with efficiency.
- Skillfully manage Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) compliance.
- Ensure adherence to environmental regulations and best practices in SWPPP management.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Proven experience in project engineering or related roles within the construction industry.
- Strong ability to read and interpret construction plans.
- Proficiency in cost tracking, invoice verification, and procurement processes.
- Exceptional organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to coordinate various stakeholders.
- Familiarity with scheduling software and tools.
