Sr. Accountant

We are seeking a Sr. Accountant to join our team in West Palm Beach, Florida. This role will involve a variety of responsibilities related to financial analysis, budgeting, and account management. This position offers a long term contract employment opportunity.

• Conducting month-end close procedures and preparing journal entries.
• Ensuring the accuracy of fund accounts through thorough review and coding.
• Performing financial analysis tasks to support decision-making processes.
• Preparing comprehensive financial statements for review.
• Conducting budgeting analytics to support financial planning and strategy.
• Ensuring accuracy in billing processes to maintain financial integrity.
• Using Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis.
• Applying knowledge of Fund Accounting - Non-Profit and Non-profit Accounting to daily tasks.
• Utilizing Abila MIP software for various accounting functions.
• Handling Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations. • Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting role
• Proficient in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations
• Demonstrable experience with General Ledger management and Journal Entries
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required
• Experience with Month End Close procedures
• Knowledge of Fund Accounting, specifically within Non-Profit environments
• Experience with Non-profit Accounting is necessary
• Familiarity with Abila MIP software is a plus
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• CPA certification is a plus, but not a requirement
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage stress effectively in high-pressure situations
• Understanding of laws and regulations related to accounting and taxation.
