Outside Sales Consultant - Construction Industry - Miami

Position Overview We are looking for a competitive, sales-driven, and highly motivated Outside Architectural Sales Consultant to join our dynamic team. This role is based in the Orlando or Jacksonville area and focuses on expanding our presence across Central and North Florida. The ideal candidate will develop and implement aggressive sales strategies to promote our four product lines to architects and contractors, ensuring these products are designed and specified into commercial construction projects. IMPORTANT JOB INFORMATION:
- Candidate MUST RESIDE in North or Central Florida - as the majority of your time will be traveling to potential client meetings in Orlando, Jacksonville, and to the Panhandle
- The first year is salary only, $60K as the sales cycle for this position can be approx 12-18 months. Second year, it is a draw system with realistic earning potential of $85-110K
- You will be provided a company computer and cell phone.
- You will receive a company credit card for gas and travel expenses.
Personality/Core Skills fit:
- SELF MOTIVATED - someone who is a self starter, as you are in charge of your own sales. It is your responsibility to plan your day and develop and execute the sales strategies to grow North and Central Florida business.
Requirements:
- Must have previous exposure/basic knowledge of construction products - whether it be through their own hobby or previous work history.
- Proven sales experience.
- strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to travel overnight as required (30%-50% travel).
- Valid driver’s license.
- Experience in reading and interpreting construction plans and documents.
- Sales experience within the construction industry.

Responsibilities- Develop and maintain relationships with architects by conducting Continuing Education presentations, addressing design inquiries, and assisting with detailing and specifications.
- Engage actively in professional organizations within the architectural community.
- Prepare precise cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
- Conduct project take-offs and submit competitive bids to general contractors.
- Work closely with clients, architects, and project managers to align on project objectives and offer value-engineering solutions.
- Create comprehensive project proposals and bid documents.
- Stay up to date on industry trends and building code requirements relevant to our products.
- Facilitate a seamless transition of project files to the in-house project management team.
- Travel frequently throughout the North Florida territory—from Orlando to Jacksonville to the Panhandle—to meet with potential customers and strengthen relationships.
