Accounts Payable Specialist - Taunton

We are in search of an Accounts Payable Specialist to join client's team in TAUNTON, Massachusetts. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, your main role will be to ensure the smooth operation of the accounts payable processes. This will include tasks such as reconciling account balances, analyzing and tracking various costs, processing invoices, and resolving any issues related to invoices with both internal and external parties.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the processing of invoices in a timely manner and within specific time constraints.
• Regularly analyze and keep track of purchase orders to ensure accurate information.
• In the event of any discrepancies, resolve outstanding issues regarding invoices in collaboration with internal departments and external parties, such as supplier Accounts Receivable Department.
• Ensure correct accounting at month end by analyzing and tracking UPS billings.
• Perform regular reconciliations of Balance Sheet accounts including but not limited to Freight payable and accrued payables.
• Contribute to the preparation and processing of EFT/ Wires/ACH where applicable.
• Assist in the processing of year-end reports and accruals within set guidelines.
• Regularly process domestic UPS freight bills and In House UPS freight bills.
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation
• Experience in Accounts Payable (AP)
• Familiarity with Check Runs procedures
• Ability to handle Coding Invoices
• Strong Data Entry skills
• Experience in Invoice Processing
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• SAP software knowledge
• Experience in creating Journal Entries
• Understanding of Journal Entry procedures
