Behavioral Health Specialist provides individual and group education to patients and family.
Responsibilities:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Obtain vital signs and BGM's as directed by RN.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living as needed.
- Monitoring patient safety through 15 minute checks, precaution monitoring, patient and room searches.
- Provide individual and group psycho-education.
- Assist patients with completion of safety plans
- Help with explaining and completing legal documents and consents at admission.

Education and Experience
Associate's degree in human service related field and/or 3 years of behavioral health experience.
Certification and Licensure
Certified Nursing AssistantApproved CPR or BLS certification required within 90 days
Verbal de-escalation, self-defense and control techniques training within 90 days.
