You will be part of a vital team responsible for the ongoing support and maintenance of network infrastructure primarily consisting of Cisco and Aruba network devices, including routers, switches, and wireless access points. This position's primary role is to install, operate and maintain network devices and to mitigate network outages and performance issues.This team is first to take appropriate action to resolve network and system problems as they appear. We detect, analyze, and resolve network LAN/WAN and transmission system problems while minimizing impact on the business. We differentiate between primary and secondary network failures.
Based on the severity or type of event, we identify and engage additional resources as required. We are responsible for remotely supporting installation of various IT hardware equipment and bringing systems "on-line". This role is part of a team that is required to support client infrastructure 24x7x365 and adhere to SLA requirements for responsiveness and resolution times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure, install, and troubleshoot various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, wireless, voice, DNS, DCHP, NAC) across multiple client sites.
- Manage and resolve issues related to Cisco/Aruba switches and wireless access devices.
- Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability. Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure.
- Perform network maintenance and system upgrades.
- Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.
- Ensure strict adherence to SLA requirements for responsiveness and resolution.
- Utilize Network Management systems and tools for monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to emergency network issues.
