Department Manager- Lithography
Summary:

To get there, we need an experienced and talented Department Manager- Lithography to join the team in our Baldwinsville, NY folding carton plant. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient management of team member activities and accountable for achieving manufacturing targets and financial objectives to meet organizational goals.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and guidance on the coordination of plant activities to ensure manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner for the Lithography Printing Department.
- Provide support to LEAN manufacturing culture operations to ensure products are manufactured to meet quality, reliability, and cost requirements.
- Maintain and promote high standards of safety, customer service, quality parameters, on-time production goals, and customer on time delivery.
- Monitor and control waste management to manage production costs and reduce environmental impacts.
- Review production costs and product quality and modify production and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance profitable operations.
- Develop and manage defined communication channels across various stakeholder groups to build effective relationships and produce superior products.
- Offer new ideas to support fulfillment of department goals and procedures for continuous improvement, retention of customer base, company profitability, and team member job satisfaction.
Salary: $80,000 - $95,000
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed above are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability preferred.- Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field of study from an accredited institution; or 7-10 years related experience in Lithography and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Folding carton experience is required.
- Demonstrated ability in taking ownership and initiative of responsibilities and executing them to meet business needs and deliverables.
- Ability to build key relationships with team members across the organization and develop an informal network of internal consultants.
- Strong interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills to build relationships and effectively communicate with team members company wide.
- The ability to multi-task and appropriately prioritize work, while maintaining attention to detail is critical.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables and implement solutions to correct.

Quality is part of this job function and will be considered in performance evaluations, promotions, and any other form of recognition including pay rates.It is expected that any major quality deficiencies be reported to the Supervisor, Quality, and/or the Operations Supervisor.
Physical demands
While performing the duties, an employee is regularly required to talk or hear, walk or sit, stand, use hands to finger, handle, and feel objects, tools, or controls, and to reach with hands and arms.
