Surgery Scheduler (OBGYN)
This position will collaborate with other medical professionals including but not limited to Physicians, Billing Specialists, and Front Desk staff. Responsibilities- Schedules all patient procedures and surgeries for OB/GYN procedures at the hospitals
- Insurance benefit verification and cost verification for the procedure
- Obtaining patient insurance information to verify benefits before surgeries or procedures
- Communicate to patients their benefits and out-of-pocket costs
- Obtains the proper authorizations for ultrasounds and procedures
- Updating patient records
- Providing patient medical records to outpatient facilities and the hospital
- Answering phones and speaking with patients
