URBN Business Systems Analyst
Role Summary:
URBN is seeking a Business Analyst who will be the key liaison between the Information Technology Department and the merchandising teams for the Anthropologie, Urban Outfitters, and Free People brands. The business analyst will be responsible for delivering end-to-end business solutions within merchandising systems using diverse accountabilities.These accountabilities include system and data analysis, reporting and data mapping, creating context and process diagrams, documenting business requirements and functional specifications, business and system use cases, creating and executing comprehensive test plans, and working with business users to document user operating instructions.
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide the first level of triage of complex issues, analyze options, explain the impact and partner with internal teams to work towards the best solution to the problem.
- Anticipate and identify issues that may prevent deliverables and develop and implement corrective actions.
- Help to manage and develop execution of QA test plans for enhancements and large projects
- Communicate and coordinate project activities with business, technical and IT organizations
- Assess projects and identify essential tasks; reprioritize tasks dynamically during the project; perform risk assessments; identify and evaluate alternatives
- Negotiate and persuade other groups with diverse perspectives to gain cooperation and achieve business objectives
Role Qualifications:
- Knowledge and experience with ERP systems, such as Island Pacific, SAP, or Oracle
- Knowledge and experience with SQL and Analytics
- Fashion retail experience a plus
- Finance, operations or supply chain experience a plus
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both oral and written
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver to deadlines
- Strong attention to detail with emphasis on both quality and speed
- Ability to prioritize work effectively and handle multiple competing demands
