Job Title: Head of Supply Chain and Procurement

As the Head of Supply Chain and Procurement, you will serve as a pivotal leader, driving operational excellence, optimizing supply chain processes, and spearheading strategic direct and indirect procurement initiatives that support our mission.This role oversees a supply chain built on contract manufacturing and procurement operations across all of Evolv. We are seeking an exceptional leader to enhance end-to-end efficiency, align resources with business objectives, and foster partnerships for seamless execution.
Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will collaborate cross-functionally to ensure our supply chain and procurement strategies embody our mission and values.
Success in the Role: What are performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?
In the first 30 days, you will:
- Meet with Evolvs Executive Leadership Team and key stakeholders across the organization.
- Develop an understanding of our supply chain ecosystem, direct and indirect procurement processes, contract manufacturing, and operational priorities.
- Begin building relationships internally and externally, engaging with key suppliers, partners, and team members.
- Familiarize yourself with Evolvs tools, systems, and processes.
Within 3 months, you will:
- Assess current supply chain and procurement operations and identify key opportunities for optimization and alignment.
- Implement quick wins to improve supply chain efficiency, address urgent needs, and reduce risks.
- Develop and execute product lifecycle management processes to support innovation and operational efficiency.
- Establish clear KPIs to measure supply chain success, including cost savings, inventory optimization, and supplier performance.
- Build trust as a collaborative and action-oriented leader with internal teams and external partners.
By the end of the first year, you will:
- Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive supply chain strategy aligned with Evolvs mission, ensuring scalability and operational excellence.
- Manage a supply chain based on contract manufacturing, ensuring strong vendor relationships, cost optimization, and operational reliability.
- Oversee procurement for all of Evolv (direct and indirect), driving cost reductions and ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Deliver measurable improvements in supply chain efficiency, supplier engagement, cost management, and risk mitigation.
- Implement product quality management systems and ensure continuous quality improvements across the supply chain.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability within the supply chain and procurement team.
- Be recognized as a trusted leader who drives results, solves problems proactively, and enhances Evolvs ability to meet customer demands globally.

Contract Manufacturing and Procurement Expertise:
- Proven track record of working with contract manufacturers, managing relationships, and driving cost reductions across manufacturing.
- Experience leading procurement processes to source, evaluate, and implement contract manufacturing partnerships.
- Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, compliance, and risk management.
- Exceptional negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Proficiency in procurement tools, ERP systems, and technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to centralize procurement functions to drive cost savings across overall company purchasing.
Hands-On Approach and Problem-Solving:
- Ability to operate at both strategic and hands-on levels, addressing day-to-day challenges in a lean organizational structure.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Passion for innovation, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction.
Leadership and Strategy:
- Proven expertise in leading global supply chain operations, including planning, sourcing, logistics, and manufacturing, both contract and onsite.
- Strategic mindset with experience implementing end-to-end supply chain transformations.
- Leadership capability to inspire teams, drive accountability, and collaborate across matrixed organizations.
- Strong business acumen and ability to connect supply chain initiatives to broader organizational goals.

Product Quality and Lifecycle Management:
- Experience in implementing and managing product quality management systems to ensure high standards.
- Expertise in product lifecycle management processes to support innovation, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Strong collaboration with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Quality, and Manufacturing, to ensure product success.
Operational Excellence and Analysis:
- Financial acumen, with a history of achieving measurable cost savings and operational improvements.
- Ability to analyze complex data, develop actionable insights, and drive decision-making.
- Proven experience driving operational efficiencies, inventory optimization, and risk mitigation.
- Proven experience leading supply chain and procurement functions in lean, fast-paced, innovative organizations.
- Deep understanding of supply chain plant management, internal/external manufacturing, and logistics.
- Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated success in driving large-scale supply chain transformations and delivering operational excellence.

You will be joining the Manufacturing and Procurement team and reporting directly to the interim CFO.

Where is the role located?
This role is based out of our HQ in Waltham, Massachusetts.
What is the salary range?
The base salary range for this full-time position is $200,000 - $250,000 equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations.Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
