Entry Level Buyer / Purchaser

This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the selection and evaluation of vendors, ensuring adherence to agency corporate compliance and internal controls
• Coordinate communication between insurance companies and repair vendors, reporting accidents and estimates
• Issue purchase orders for repair and handle documentation management and tracking related to Motor Vehicle Accidents
• Source products and services, request quotations, and negotiate pricing with vendors
• Maintain and manage agency cell phone accounts and Wegman’s account updates
• Initiate set-up and changes for residential and commercial utilities including gas, electric, telephone, and cable television for all agency property leased and owned
• Maintain and update AccPac related information as it pertains to the Purchasing Department
• Contact external software support vendors for problem resolution
• Assist coordinator with fleet maintenance management such as lease documentation and tracking, registration, inspection, oil change, E-Z pass, and handicap tags
• Ensure compliance with all agency policies and procedures. • Possess knowledge in Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions
• Understanding of Accounting Functions including Accounts Payable (AP)
• Familiarity with Buying Processes
• Proficient in 'About Time' software
• Strong Communication skills
• Must not have any discriminatory behavior or words in their history
• Previous experience in a non-profit industry is a plus
• Entry-level understanding of buyer or purchaser role
• Open to continuous learning and skill development
• Ability to work in a team and contribute to group goals.
