Responsibilities:
- Manage a variety of construction litigation cases
- Represent clients in legal proceedings, arguing motions when necessary
- Draft legal documents such as pleadings, briefs, contracts, and legal opinions
- Conduct and defend depositions to gather and present relevant information
- Handle complaints and civil litigation matters
- Utilize legal software and LexisNexis for research and case management
- Offer legal advice to clients regarding construction disputes
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a comprehensive legal approach
- Maintain knowledge of current laws, regulations, and industry trends related to construction law
- Develop and implement effective legal strategies to achieve successful outcomes for clients. • Minimum of 3 years experience in the field of law, specifically in construction or contract law
- Proficiency in using legal software for research and case management
- Familiarity with LexisNexis for legal research and case preparation
- Proficiency in management systems for organizing and tracking cases
- Experience with briefing and presenting cases
- Knowledge of civil litigation processes and procedures
- Experience in handling complaints and resolving disputes
- Experience in construction litigation, particularly in defending and arguing cases
- Proficiency in conducting depositions and defending depositions
- Excellent legal writing skills for drafting legal documents, correspondences, and reports
- Experience in drafting, arguing, and defending motions in court
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
- Must be a member in good standing with the local State Bar Association.
