Responsibilities:
This position will travel between several surgery suites in the area: Westminster, Havre De Grace, Glen Burnie and occasionally Annapolis. Mileage reimbursement provided.
Pay range: $16-23/hr, depending upon years of experience- Greet patients in polite, helpful manner. Provide necessary instructions and/or directions.
- Answer phones timely and professionally.
- Transfer calls or send internal communication to the appropriate team members.
- Maintain strict confidentiality in adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Verify and update insurance coverage and patient demographics.
- Update patient information, provide necessary forms for completion.
- Prep patient charts for upcoming visits.
- Place confirmation calls to confirm patient’s upcoming appointments.
- Collect copays or fee for services rendered and any past due/current balances, as per the daily check in process.
- Reconcile daily bank(s) and post to the appropriate supervisor at the end of each business day.
- Send/receive patient medical records in accordance with HIPAA.
- Maintain daily COVID cleaning regulations per the CDC and AAD protocols.
- Other duties assigned as deemed necessary by management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Minimum of one-year work experience in a medical practice preferred
- Strong back ground in customer service preferred.
- Long term commitment preferred. If looking to advance, 2 year commitment required.
Licensure/Certifications/Education:
Full time employees (defined as regularly working at least 30 hours per week) are eligible for the following benefits:
