Robert Half is seeking an Assistant General Counsel to join an organization in Chicago, Illinois. This role is crucial in ensuring that operations comply with relevant laws and policies.

Key responsibilities:

• Administer policies and procedures in compliance with relevant housing regulations and laws.
• Draft and review operational documents to ensure they are in line with the organization's policies
• Provide researched information and counsel on housing regulations, policies, and case laws
• Monitor and administer legal agreements resulting from litigation matters
• Provide guidance to client departments on achieving goals in compliance with applicable policies, rules, and laws
• Prepare required reports as needed
• Draft and review tenancy documents such as leases, selection criteria, and house rules
• Represent the organization at informal hearings within different departments
• Provide guidance and information on regulations, policies, and laws
• Assure compliance with all legal requirements and draft agreements as necessary.
• Must possess a minimum of 3 years of experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in policy creation and implementation.
• Proficiency in conducting comprehensive legal research.
• Proven ability to ensure compliance with various laws and regulations.
• Must possess a law degree from an accredited law school.
• Must be a member in good standing of a recognized legal bar association.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
