Amazon’s Corporate Infrastructure Services is looking for a highly motivated leader to lead a global team of Telecom Vendor Managers and Procurement Specialists and Technical Business Developers, responsible for Amazon's Telecom Supply Chain supporting multiple Amazon business units with respect to their telecommunication connectivity (infrastructure) needs.The role includes designing WAS connectivity solutions, expanding and managing relationships with Telecom vendors, and negotiating Service Agreements and Contracts supporting all internal Amazon customers. Network connectivity is a critical lifeline for Amazon teams and the management of cost, delivery, availability and improvements will be central to the success of this position.
As a Telecom Business owner and subject matter expert, you will engage upstream with technical leadership teams in helping to shape the strategy and drive execution for both internal and external facing projects across a variety of technologies and disciplines.You will be responsible for working with external vendors and leveraging internal capabilities across Amazon to deliver solutions and ensure cross-organizational information sharing, while driving consistency with partners that work with multiple teams within Amazon at same time.
You will establish program requirements, initiate, structure, negotiate, and close new relationships as well as renewals of deals to grow the top and bottom line, serve as the key contact point with strategic partners, and implement Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
You will partner with other global teams and drive standardization across the organizations.
This role manages the day-to-day interaction with the Telecom vendors and institutes formal business and performance reviews with vendors and Amazon leadership, identifying key activities, setting strategic direction and establishing potential development opportunities.It monitors key performance indicators for adherence to contract requirements, SLAs, and performance expectations and leads efforts to resolve anomalies or exceptions. It will interact with internal incident management teams to develop automated ways to collect and analyze circuit metrics and standardize circuit outage reporting.

- Identify, evaluate, design, negotiate, source and manage telecom infrastructure, strategic telecom partner relationships and complex deals
- Serve as the escalation point for Amazon Corporate WAN connectivity
- Hold Quarterly Business Reviews
- Integrate fast deploy solutions - 3+ years experience with Telecom technologies (Ethernet, DX, DIA, etc.)
- 5+ years of Vendor Management experience
- Bachelor Degree or 5+ years equivalent work experience
- Experience leading in complex organizational settings (i.e. remote teams)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proven problem solving skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Experience with Microsoft Technologies, such as Office and SharePoint
- Experience with project delivery for large, cross functional projects
- Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals.
- Strong bias for action (self-starter) and "get it done" attitude

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $146,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $242,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
