How you make a difference:
Be a Guiding Presence as a Support Person!
As a Support Person, you’ll be the front line of support for individuals served who need extra care and attention. By offering therapeutic activities and recreation, you'll help foster a positive, engaging environment that promotes healing and personal growth.
You’ll work alongside the treatment team, ensuring a safe and therapeutic living unit where individuals feel valued and supported. If you're someone who thrives in a dynamic, impactful role and is dedicated to making a difference in others’ lives, this position is for you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Assists Clinical Leaders
- Promotes Therapeutic Milieu
- Engages in Non-Clinical Interactions
- Supports Behavioral Observations
- Documents and Reports Activities
Records interactions, behaviors, and unit activities, preparing necessary reports and logs.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education:
- Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or criminal justice field.
Experience:
- Preferred: Direct care experience in a healthcare or mental health treatment facility.
- Preferred: Healthcare, mental health, or human services experience.
Licenses/Certifications:
- Preferred: Healthcare, mental health, or human services license or certification (Peer Support Specialist Certification, CNA, BHT, etc.).
