We are offering a contract for a permanent position in the aerospace industry, located in East Hartford, Connecticut, for a Staff Accountant. As a Staff Accountant, you will be tasked with a variety of accounting duties, including handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), performing bank reconciliations, and maintaining the general ledger.
You will also be required to use various accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the Accounts Payable (AP) function to ensure timely and accurate payment processing
- Manage the Accounts Receivable (AR) function, including invoice creation, payment receipt, and overdue account tracking
- Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure financial records are accurate
- Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and up-to-date
- Prepare journal entries as required for financial transactions
- Assist in the month-end close process, ensuring all financial data is accurately recorded
- Utilize accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP to manage and analyze financial data.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) operations
- Solid background in managing Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Experienced in performing Bank Reconciliations
- Strong understanding of General Ledger management
- Ability to prepare and manage Journal Entries
- Familiarity with Month End Close procedures
- Proficiency in using NetSuite for accounting tasks
- Experience in working with Oracle financial software
- Proficiency in QuickBooks for accounting and financial management
- Knowledgeable in SAP financial software usage and operations in the aerospace industry
