Pay Range: starting at $234k exempt (salaried)
Schedule: Monday- Friday (8am-5pm)
General Summary:We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Medical Director who is a licensed medical doctor. The ideal candidate will lead our geriatric care team, focusing on providing exceptional primary care to both active elderly patients and residents of Assisted Living and Memory Care, Wellness Clinic and Skilled Nursing facilities.
This role requires expertise in managing age-related illnesses and a commitment to improving the health and well-being of our geriatric population.
Key Responsibilities:- Primary Care: Deliver comprehensive primary care for a healthy, active geriatric population in an outpatient clinic setting.
- Assisted Living, Memory Care, Skilled Nursing, and Wellness Clinic: Provide specialized primary care to residents in Assisted Living and Memory Care facilities, addressing common age-related illnesses and complications, including Parkinson's disease and Alzheimer's disease.
- Injury and Disease Management: Ensure proper care for injuries and develop disease prevention strategies. Perform diagnoses, treatment, and recovery plans for disorders related to aging.
- Testing and Referrals: Request necessary diagnostic tests, schedule follow-up visits, and refer patients to specialists as needed to ensure comprehensive care.
- Care Coordination: Coordinate care across various services and conduct goals of care meetings to align treatment plans with patients' needs and preferences.
- Sub-Acute Rehabilitation Admissions: Complete thorough assessments for all admissions to the Sub-Acute Rehabilitation Unit, ensuring appropriate care planning and intervention.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Participate in weekly care-plan meetings, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes and enhance care delivery.
- Staff Management: Manage and oversee the day-to-day performance of subordinate staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality care delivery.

Qualifications:
- Medical Degree: Qualified, Board-Certified Physician with a valid state license to practice medicine.
- Geriatric Training: Completion of Geriatric training; Board-Certified Geriatrician preferred.
- Wellness-Oriented: Motivated by the actualization of wellness-related objectives and a desire to enhance the quality of life for geriatric patients.
- Compassionate and Objective: Demonstrates compassion and objectivity in patient care, understanding the unique challenges faced by the elderly.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, facilitating effective interactions with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Critical Thinking: Strong critical thinking skills to assess complex medical issues and develop appropriate care strategies.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
This job may require lifting of objects weighing up to 20 lbs. Other physical demands that may be required are as follows: Pushing and/or pulling, Stooping and/or kneeling, Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
