Titan Florida Concrete Products has an excellent opportunity for a Construction Manager for Titan Florida. This salary position will report directly to the Director of Ready-Mix Operations.
The Construction Manager works independently and is responsible for the construction of new facilities. Ensuring project is completed to required timescales and delivery milestones.
Responsibilities:
- Planning, scheduling and coordinating the project strategy and design, reporting progress and budget matters
- Preparing and negotiating timetables, cost estimates, budgets and contracts
- Managing the construction process, supervising all activity on-site, responding to delays
- Collaborating with specialists such as architects, engineers and local government officials for permits and licenses, contractors and clients.
- Complying with legal requirements, safety and building codes and keeping daily logs and diaries
- Ordering equipment and materials, managing their use and managing the personnel involved.
- Enforcing safety procedures, minimizing risk, ensuring the use of protective clothing, hard-hat, harnesses and other safety equipment
- Ensure relevant safety, quality & environmental management systems are implemented,
- Ensure the importance of critical path activities and the sensitivity of other activities are communicated to the relevant stakeholders, and these are being acted on by the delivery team.
- Analyze monthly construction contractor CPM schedule updates; develop progress payments based on schedule updates
- Occasionally, develop and make presentations to groups
Qualifications:
- High School diploma; college degree in a related field a plus
- 10 years’ experience in construction Industry
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite and spreadsheet management
- Root cause analysis experience
- Bilingual is beneficia
- Valid Driver’s license which meets company standards require
- Must have excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Dedication to maintain the highest standard of safety in all aspects of the job
- Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times
- Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required
- Working outdoors with exposure to extreme heat, extreme cold and other outdoor environmental conditions, constant standing and walking, climbing, working from heights and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and overtime
- Ability to pass pre-employment processes including criminal background check, motor vehicle report, physical and drug screen
- Travel between sites as needed
