Staff Accountant

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant in the service industry, based in Clearwater, Florida. The role focuses on handling a variety of accounting tasks, including processing journal entries, performing reconciliations, and supporting the Controller in all closing responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the accurate and timely processing of journal entries.
• Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
• Support the Controller in executing all duties related to month-end close.
• Handle both Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) efficiently.
• Maintain the General Ledger with precision.

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) operations, demonstrating the ability to process payments and control expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices.
• Knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR) function, including the ability to ensure that the company receives payment for goods and services offered to clients.
• Experience with Bank Reconciliations, demonstrating a strong understanding of the process of matching the balances in an entity's accounting records for a cash account to the corresponding information on a bank statement.
• Familiarity with General Ledger operations, including the ability to post and balance financial data in various complex ledgers to compile reports and financial statements.
• Ability to prepare and manage Journal Entries, demonstrating a clear understanding of the process of recording financial transactions of a company.
• Experience with Month End Close procedures, demonstrating the ability to reconcile accounts, post adjusting entries, and produce financial reports.
