We are looking for an Internal Audit Manager with a focus on Financial Services to join our team located in Carrollton, Texas. This role involves assisting in the internal audit function, communicating regularly with Audit Committee members, and interfacing frequently with various stakeholders.
This position offers a 3 to 4 month contract employment opportunity. Hybrid 3 days in office.
Our Dallas based Auto Finance client is seeking an Internal Audit Manager for a 3 to 4 month engagement.- Experience working with the internal audit function of midsized to large financial services/banking institutions
- Understanding of the principles underlying the three lines of defense model common within financial services.
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills, including documentation of findings and recommendations.
- An in-depth understanding of internal audit methodologies, concepts, tools and objectives.
- Establishing and cultivating critical business relationships / networking with senior executives.
- Understanding of regulatory expectations for financial service organizations including FRB 13-1 and OCC Heightened Standards as well as commonly used internal control frameworks (e.g., COSO)
- Knowledge of audit methodologies and developing key internal audit deliverables including process flows, work programs, audit reports, and control summaries.
- Experience with the validation of open issues within the 1st, 2nd and 3rd line of defense.
o 5 to 7 years of relevant experience.
o Ability to scope design and operational effectiveness testing of controls, execute testing, and document results consistent with IA expectations.
o Ability to provide direction and oversight to 2-3 professionals
o Relevant Professional Certification such as CIA, CPA, CFSA a plus.
