Job Responsibilities Reading and understanding the legacy drawings of aerostructures parts Reviewing the legacy drawings in Tiff format and digitizing in AUTOCAD Design engineer in this position will be responsible for converting 2D drawings into 3D CAD using Catia V5 Creating variety of aircraft structural parts like Bulkheads, Stringers, Stiffeners, Frames, longerons, splice plates etc.
Ensuring the quality of the 3D models matching legacy 2D inputs (TIFF / PDF) The selected candidate must be competent in aspects of engineering drawings depicting aero structures product details, assemblies, and Installations. Capable of reading BOM Duties will include model creation, view depiction, generation of proper nomenclature, and the application of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) Job description: A designer in this position will be responsible for converting 2D legacy drawings which are in TIFF format, into 3D CAD using Catia V5.
The selected candidate must be competent in aspects of aerospace engineering Installation and assembly drawings reading, Product structures details. Duties will include reading and measuring the 2D input drawing, CAD model creation, quality checking. To accurately create the 3D model of the datasets, engineers must understand the function of the part/assembly. The selected candidate will be expected to work independently and deliver the work using Design Standards and Design Guidebook as appropriate to complete the task.
Work with customer's product definition and engineering support groups and coordinate assistance as required. Use software in recommended methods which promotes consistency for ease of revision and reduction in model/drawing complexity.
