Network Administrator

Responsibilities:

• Fully support, configure, maintain and upgrade corporate networks and in house servers.
• Install and integrate new server hardware and applications.
• Troubleshoot network hardware and software, responding to network incidents and resolving them to maintain and improve network stability.
• Ensure network security and connectivity and manage network access.
• Monitor network performance (availability, utilization, throughput, goodput, and latency) and test for weaknesses.
• Set up user accounts, permissions and passwords.
• Maintain and monitor strategic, companywide virus protection and security.
• Define network policies and procedures and manage how projects are ran.
• Recommend and implement network enhancements to improve system reliability and performance.

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Network Administrator.
• Professional certification (e.g. CCNA, CCNP) is a plus.
• Solid understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS).
• In-depth knowledge of best practices around management, control, and monitoring of server infrastructure.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• BS degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience with firewalls, Internet VPN’s remote implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution is desired.
