We are currently seeking passionate and energetic individuals to join our team as part-time Program Supervisors for our Before/After School Program at Vail Farm Elementary in Lagrangeville, NY.
PAY: $15.75 per hourSCHEDULE: 6:30 am - 8:45 pm
JOB STATUS: Part-time, non-exempt
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead hands-on activities aligned with the Healthy Kids Curriculum, including fitness, STEAM, academic adventures, arts, and more! Dont forget to assist with homework.Foster a safe, healthy, and fun environment where kids can thrive, becoming a role model they look up to every day.
Assist the Site Director with key management tasks, such as maintaining accurate attendance, registrations, staffing, and act as the person in charge when the Site Director is absent.
Maintain ongoing communication with parents and family members through the Playground App to share updates and special moments.
Stay informed and follow OCFS guidelines, Healthy Kids policies, and the host schools rules to ensure smooth operations.
Regularly meet with the Director to make decisions, address concerns, and collaborate on immediate issues.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent, with two years of direct experience working with children under 13 years of age.OR
A School-age Child Care Credential or another recognized credential specific to the school-age developmental period, with one year of experience working with children under 13 years of age.
ORAn Associates degree in Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation, or a related field.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ready to pass a background check, including fingerprinting, references, and SEL & SCR through NYS Office of Children and Family Services.Medically cleared by a doctor to perform job duties and free of communicable diseases, including TB.
Warm, friendly, and upbeat with exceptional people skills whether working with kids, parents, or colleagues. You are professional, reliable, and punctual.
Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs. while keeping up with energetic kids.
