Overview:

Collective Power for Reproductive Justice (collectivepowerrj.org) is a national reproductive rights and justice organization dedicated to educating, mentoring, and inspiring new generations of advocates, leaders, and supporters. Combining activism, organizing, leadership training, and reproductive rights movement building, Collective Power promotes an inclusive agenda that advances reproductive rights and health, and social and economic justice.

Collective Power is a fiscally sponsored project of TSNE (tsne.org).

Responsibilities:

The Temporary Development and Operations Assistant supports the day-to-day administrative and fundraising activities of the organization, under supervision of the Deputy Director of Systems and Sustainability. This position supports all organizational operations, including performing administrative duties, accounts payable, supporting internal and external events, supporting fundraising operations, and other special projects as needed.

Essential Functions

Administrative – 30%
  • Manages all office supplies and requests;
  • Ensures mail is delivered and email account and voicemail checked;
  • Maintains and distributes all meeting minutes;
  • Assists with data maintenance in the CiviCRM database, and with maintaining physical and electronic storage of organizational files, records, and correspondence;
  • Under the direction of the Finance Director, processes invoices and payments;
  • Organizes and submits monthly expense reports for the project credit card and supports staff with expense reports.
Fundraising Operations – 30%
  • Track incoming donations, produce and mail gift receipts and thank-you notes;
  • Support fundraising mailings as needed;
  • Manage annual conference sponsorship campaign, including email outreach, sponsorship tracking, and supporting staff in conducting outreach;
  • Maintain accurate fundraising records by adding information into the database, including gifts, activities, and notes.
  • Supports other fundraising activities as needed.
Event Support – 20%
  • Assists with planning and production of event logistics for the annual conference, internship training, fundraising events, and other project convenings and staff convenings, including supporting facilities management and work with catering services, travel agents, hotels, and other vendors;
  • Provide onsite event support as needed.

Other duties as assigned – 10%

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of related experience;

  • Must be detail-oriented; able to handle high volume of work in a fast-paced environment; have good organizational skills; and strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Must have word processing and data entry skills using Microsoft programs (especially Word and Excel) and Google documents; and experience using spreadsheets and databases.
Additional Requirements
  • Must be based in Western Massachusetts and have reliable transportation to our offices at Hampshire College.

Compensation and Benefits

Location: Work will be primarily performed hyrbid in Amherst , MA and from your home office.

Compensation: The salary for this position is $29.15/hr and is commensurate with experience.
