Accounting Manager
Oversees bank activity, cash reconciliation and cash forecasting.
What you’ll be doing::
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the on-going activities of the Accounting department and ensure month-end and year-end closings are accurate and timely
- Approve monthly accruals and other journal entries
- Prepare and review month end financial reporting
- Maintain GL users in General Ledger during month end closing
- Analysis of all monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Improving all department procedures to increase accuracy and efficiency
- Partnering with FP&A to prepare budget Balance Sheet forecasting
- Creating and maintaining Locations and Cost Centers while ensuring proper mapping for financial reporting
- Reconcile, manage and settle intercompany transactions
- Reconciliation of Cruise Line accruals and reporting per contracts
- Corporate card reconciliations
- Update and management of concur system while ensuring timely processing of invoices
- Manage and approve advertising contracts to ensure financial accuracy and pacing to budget
- Calculate and Prepare Compensation for Port Shopping Guides
- Oversee Cruise Line Accounts Payable to ensure payments are made in in accordance with contractual terms
- Provide year end Tax business reports for reporting purposes
- Prepare monthly Florida sales tax reporting and year end 1099 filings
- Manage cash forecasting to ensure accurate and timely projections of cash flow
- Prepare periodic reports to determine commissions owed on advertising contracts sold by Sales People
- Other Adhoc Financial reporting and Analysis
What we’re looking for::
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
- Minimum (5) years Accounting experience
- BA/BBA in Accounting or Finance
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Strong analytical skills and organizational skills
- Ability to demonstrate problem solving skills
- Detail-Oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with ERP systems

Other: Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Some flexibility in hours is permitted, employee must be available during the “core” work hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday and must work 30 hours each week to maintain full-time status. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Physical Demands:Office environment with frequent sitting, walking and standing, occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and balancing. Frequent use of eye, hand and finger coordination enabling use of office machinery. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
Oral and auditory enabling interpersonal communication as well as communication automated devise such as the telephone.
