The Journeyman Installation Technician is responsible to install and assist in all phases of installing, testing and troubleshooting security, access control and video systems at customer sites. To that end, the Journeyman Installation Technician may interact directly with the client, client representatives, other contractors and Kastle personnel to ensure a successful installation.The Journeyman Installation Technician ensures that Kastle system installation and change orders are implemented accurately and on time, and that these services meet or exceed client expectations.
Pay Range - $33 - $37 / HR DOE
Responsibilities:
- Installs/Services, tests, and troubleshoots CCTV, access control, and security systems following Kastle's procedures and quality control standards.
- Pulling cable, rough in/patch in, bending conduit, terminate.
- Identify any issues regarding timeline or progress and communicate to supervisor.
- Stays up to date and knowledgeable in Kastle services, technology and internal processes/procedures.
Qualifications:
- 7 or more years’ experience installing:
- commercial access control, video systems, low voltage and commerical wiring/cabling
- Knowlege of building codes pertaining to construction and electrical systems
- Technical/Trade/Vocational school certificate in electronics/electrical is desirable
- Strong electronics knowledge/background (AC/DC theory, series and parallel circuits, open/close loops) and ability and knowledge to use digital volt meters
- Knowledge of IP, Ethernet, and networking protocol and Cat5 technologies preferred

Union pay range in New York:
You will be eligible for the local union rate per your Collective Bargaining Agreement.
