Randstad - Associate Packaging Engineer
Our client, a leader in the automotive solutions industry, is seeking a Packaging Engineer. This job involves supporting the design and development of packaging solutions that are sustainable, functional, and cost-effective. This candidate will have client interaction and is also responsible for providing the customer service and expectations.
This is a 1-year Contract with a possible extension,Monday-Friday - 7am-4pm, with a hybrid schedule after training!
This role requires a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and Solidworks experience. Experience with ASTM, TAPPI standards, ISTA and corrugate, plastics, wood, and cushioning materials would be a huge plus!

responsibilities:
- Support the design and development of sustainable, functional, and cost-effective packaging solutions.
- Assist in packaging testing (ASTM, TAPPI, ISTA) to ensure form, fit, and function in distribution environments.
- Document packaging instructions and materials for manufacturing and warehouse environments.
- Initiate cost-reduction ideas for packaging materials while ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, manufacturing, quality control, purchasing) to meet design and deadline requirements.
- Represent the Packaging Engineering Team with professionalism and integrity in communications.
- Provide exceptional service products (documentation, prototypes, etc.) that exceed customer expectations (internal and external).
