Patient Registration

We are searching for a detail-oriented individual to join a healthcare team as a Patient Registration Clerk located in Pomona CA. This is a temp-to-hire position located in Pomona. The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily admission and registration of patients in our healthcare facility.

Responsibilities:

1. Greet and register patients in a courteous and professional manner.
2. Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information accurately.
3. Complete admission and discharge paperwork while ensuring all forms are thoroughly filled in and signed.
4. Interact with patients and their families to address queries or concerns related to the admission process.
5. Collaborate closely with the healthcare team to facilitate smooth patient flow within the facility.
6. Protect patient's health information for confidentiality, authorized access for treatment, and data security.
7. Answer phone calls and direct them to appropriate departments.
8. Provide excellent customer service to patients, their families, colleagues, and others.

Requirements:

1. High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred.
2. Minimum of one year experience in a hospital or health care setting in a similar role.
3. Excellent comprehension of medical terminologies.
4. Proficiency in the use of computer systems, including EMR.
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
6. Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
7. Skilled in multi-tasking, organization, and attention to detail.
8. Willingness to work in shifts.
